In an earlier article, the Distant Light was stated as “not desiring” to make an attack on New Gyr. The Distant Light has issued an elaboration, making it clear that it is not a lack of desire from any moral sympathies for humanoid life, stating that human civilizations rise and fall, all that matters for the Distant Light is that they be allowed to continue flying through space. But rather, that “not desiring” is more that the Distant Light has no preference one way or another, for it is a tool that gets used, and that they have no interest in human life as an abstract concept.
We regret that the specific word choice used earlier inaccurately reflected the Distant Light’s intent, and hope that in time, we can learn to better comprehend and understand Ships for our mutual benefit.
